Who We Are – Hunnaalqahera
We’re two childhood friends — Ahmed Hesham, a painter, and Thmanyahwarbaoun, a graphic artist — who grew up together on Ramses Street, right by the same old kiosk that watched us dream, draw, and drift through the noise of downtown Cairo. What started as endless conversations about the city — its signs, colors, walls, heat, and rhythm — eventually became Hunnaalqahera.
This isn’t just a clothing brand. It’s a personal archive, a visual diary stitched into high-quality cotton. We chose breathable fabrics not just for comfort, but because we know what Cairo feels like at noon — especially on Ramses. We wanted pieces that could carry the heat and still tell a story.
Our designs draw on the semiotics of Cairo — the way a faded sign, a crooked tile, or a shadow on a wall can carry memory and meaning. The city speaks in layers, and we listen. Through type, texture, and symbol, we turn what we see and feel into wearable pieces that say something — even when you don’t.
Hunnaalqahera is our way of staying close to where we’re from, and inviting others to wear that closeness too. Every drop, every detail, every thread is rooted in the street — the same one we’ve walked.
